yeah, don't put any title on your SoP. it might not be a terrible idea to have a header as the above post says, but unless the SoP needs be turned in as a separate file, i wouldn't worry about this either. generally, your whole application, including the SoP, is printed as a single file. if you are using paper application, print the SoP question on a cover page and the essay on remaining page ...
Otherwise you don't need a title, like you would need a title for an essay. i'm not in your field, so requirements might be different for your field, but I don't think you need a title beyond something like 'Statement of Purpose' to identify the document.
In my statement of purpose, I included a heading as part of the body (only on the first page) and as a header in the margin (that repeats on every page). For the heading in the body, I just have my name on the far left with "Statement of Purpose" on the far right with a line underneath everything.

I don't think you need to worry about 'plagiarism' in this context. It's not plagiarism to discuss a work without giving a full citation; people do it all the time in non-academic contexts. Obviously you do need citations if you're doing academic work, but a statement of purpose is more like a letter or a discussion.
FWIW, my header was aligned right and said: Sigaba: Statement of Purpose. The footer was: Page x of y. The best SOP I ever wrote had a title that captured the essence of the document's narrative thrust. HTH.
