Hydroelectricity, or hydroelectric power, is electricity generated from hydropower (water power). Hydropower supplies 15% of the world's electricity , almost 4,210 TWh in 2023, [ 1 ] which is more than all other renewable sources combined and also more than nuclear power . [ 2 ]

The Đa Nhim Hydroelectric Power Station is a power station on the Đa Nhim River in Vietnam. Phase 1 construction started in April 1961 and was finished in January 1964. It has installed capacity of 160 MW. [1] Đa Nhim Lake is at an altitude of 1,042 metres (3,419 ft). [2] [3] It was the first hydroelectric power station in South Vietnam. [4]

The Hàm Thuận – Đa Mi Hydroelectric Power Complex is a cascade of two hydroelectric power stations in Hàm Thuận Bắc District of the central region of Vietnam. It is operated by Da Nhim – Ham Thuan – Da Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Co., a subsidiary of Vietnam Electricity .
