MacArthur Park (originally Westlake Park) [2] is a park dating back to the late 19th century in the Westlake neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. In the early 1940s, it was renamed after General Douglas MacArthur , and later designated City of Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument #100.

[ 6 ] Later renamed the Granada Buildings, the complex was purchased and restored by the Shidler Group in the late 1980s and received a preservation award from the Los Angeles Conservancy .

LOS ANGELES — Few people walking around downtown could look away from the spray-painted towers that have become an unlikely attraction in a city known for spectacle.
Westlake Village is a city in Los Angeles County, California on its western border with Ventura County. Upon its incorporation in 1981, Westlake Village became the 82nd municipality of Los Angeles County. The towers are being monitored 24 hours a day by police patrols, after it emerged that 30 floors of the towers had been covered in graffiti, with some 18 people being arrested there since Feb. 1.
