In the 1990s, St. Louis area band Uncle Tupelo blended punk, rock, and country-influenced music styles with raucous performances and became pioneers of alt-country. Both St. Louis and Kansas City also have active hip-hop scenes; Tech N9ne was born in Kansas City and Eminem in St. Joseph, and Nelly and the St. Lunatics got their start in St. Louis.
He worked at St. Louis Music until the early 2000s, continued playing music through 2010, and taught at Forest Park Community College and B-Sharp music school in St. Louis, MO. Joe Truttman became a chiropractor and lives in the Belleville area. Steve Strayhorn, who played with the acclaimed blues band Uncle Albert, passed away in 2010. [3]
Pointfest is a large outdoor rock music festival held annually by radio station KPNT in St. Louis, Missouri, at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre (formerly known as Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, UMB Bank Pavilion, and Riverport Amphitheater).

The band played their final show on August 12, 2023 at Delmar Hall in St. Louis, MO. It involved all iterations of the bands through the years.
