Sheridan Technical College and Technical High School is a public post-secondary technical educational institution and a magnet school in Broward County, Florida. It has three campuses: Main Campus in Hollywood, West Campus in Pembroke Pines, and High School in Fort Lauderdale. The college offers over 40 technical programs.
Sheridan Technical High School is an all-magnet school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and a part of Broward County Public Schools. It opened in August 2014 in the former Sunset Learning Center. [ 1 ]
The school was created by combining the Sudbury High School (SHS) with Sheridan Technical School in 1974. Up until that time the two schools shared the same campus but operated independently with two different student streams and a strong rivalry. SHS students were all streamed in a 5 year program aimed at University enrollment.
Years later, more construction phases were made to keep pace with more programs being added, community growth, and labor market demands. More than 8,000 students attend classes offered during the day, night, and Saturday mornings. [2] In August 2002, Atlantic Technical College added its own magnet high school starting with a class of 150 students.
William T. McFatter Technical College and High School is a public adult technical college that also includes a magnet high school. The campus is located in Davie, Florida and is part of the Broward County Public Schools district. Adult enrollment is approximately 1000 students.

The training, offered for a cost, may range from a single course to an entire program of ten or more courses. Vocational-technical schools are licensed, registered, or accredited like any other high school.
