The law school officially became part of Seattle University in August 1994. [8] Kellye Testy was appointed dean on February 15, 2005. During her tenure at the law school, she co-founded the Law School's Access to Justice Institute, the Seattle Journal for Social Justice, and the Center on Corporations, Law & Society.
The University of Washington School of Law is the law school of the University of Washington, located on the northwest corner of the main campus in Seattle, Washington. The school is fully accredited by the American Bar Association and has been a member of the Association of American Law Schools since 1909. The school was first organized in 1899.

In 1948, Seattle College renamed itself to its current name of Seattle University under president Albert A. Lemieux. In 1993, the Seattle University School of Law was established through the purchase of the Law School of the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, and the School of Law moved to the Seattle campus in 1999.
Sullivan Hall (also known as the Law Building) [1] [2] is a building on the Seattle University campus, in the U.S. state of Washington. The building houses the Seattle University School of Law. [3] [4] Designed by Olson/Sundberg, the 135,000 square foot building was completed in August 1999 and cost approximately $21 million. [5]
Before the construction of Gates Hall, the University of Washington School of Law, the only public law school in the State of Washington, [3] occupied Condon Hall, located away from the main campus of UW. The building never expanded, so as the UW School of Law grew, various departments of the law school were forced to occupy other buildings. [4]
