Lake Park's school system is combined with that of neighboring Audubon. The high school (7-12) is in Lake Park and the elementary school (1-6) is located in Audubon. The school's mascot is the Raider, a traditional depiction of a Pirate. The former mascot for Lake Park, was the Parker Penguin.

Lake Washington County Park is a 164-acre (66 ha) park in Le Sueur County in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The park is located on the northwest shore of Lake Washington, about 10 miles northeast of Mankato. The lake is named after President George Washington. The park was established in 1971 by the Le Sueur County Government.
Many park employees have been members of the Grand Portage Band. [2] The state park is located at the northern terminus of scenic Minnesota Highway 61. The park's seasonal visitor center was replaced in September 2010 with a 5,800-square-foot (540 m 2) combination visitor center, state travel information center, and highway rest area.
