The Frankfort Square Park District was incorporated in 1974. The first community meetings were held in local homes because no administration building had been established. Dennis O’Brien was hired part time in 1975 on a contractual basis and he worked as park director until 1981. He wrote 10 park programs per year and supervised the offerings.
This system leads to very large graduating classes and overall student populations. At Plano Senior High School, Plano East Senior High School, and Plano West Senior High School, the current student populations are listed as 2,567, 2,795, and 2,160 students, respectively. Each year's graduating class is approximately half of each number.

Plano is a city near Aurora in Kendall County, Illinois, United States, with a population of 11,847 as of the 2020 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area, being about 55 miles (90 km) from Chicago. The city was home to the Plano Harvester Company in the late 19th century, as well as the Plano Molding Company more recently.
