Toubkal (Arabic: توبقال, romanized: tūbqāl, pronounced), also Jbel Toubkal or Jebel Toubkal, is a mountain in southwestern Morocco, located in the Toubkal National Park. At 4,167 m (13,671 ft), it is the highest peak in Morocco, the Atlas Mountains , North Africa and the Arab world .
There are at least three small villages or populated areas within the refuge: Punta Mona and Mile Creek along the coast, and Finca Buena Fe along the Sixaola River. [3] The Gandoca-Manzanillo Ramsar site is located in this refuge. [1] There is a macaw rehabilitation centre and a Jaguar Rescue Center abutting the refuge near Route 256. [6]
