Lake Hamilton is a census-designated place (CDP) in Garland County, Arkansas, United States. It is part of the Hot Springs Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 2,135 at the 2010 census. [3] It is named after Lake Hamilton, one of the area's man-made lakes.
Lake Ouachita has over 690 miles (1,110 km) of shoreline and over 66,324 [3] acres (26,840 ha) of water. It is completely surrounded by the Ouachita National Forest. Lake Ouachita is located near two other lakes, Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine.
Highway 290 begins at Highway 7 in south Garland County at Lake Hamilton and runs east. The route begins a concurrency with Highway 128 and continues east to give access to boat ramps and docks. After serving the unincorporated community of Red Oak, Highway 128 splits off to the north towards Hot Springs .

Lake Catherine State Park is a 2,180-acre (880 ha) public recreation area located on the south shore of Lake Catherine, eight miles (13 km) southeast of Hot Springs, Arkansas. The park was built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps .
