[1] It is located below ground directly under the check-in and arrival area in the airport's Terminal 3. The station is served by DSB’s regional trains including the Øresundtrain network.
The station connects to the airport at the north end of Terminal 3 on level 2. Intercity trains operate out of the mainline Copenhagen Airport railway station which is located beneath the airport terminal building. There are several buses that roam through the city of Kastrup, following bus-lines: 2A, 5A and 36.

The new Copenhagen Airport began operations on a grass field a little further to the south in 1925. In the late 1930s, Vilhelm Lauritzen was charged with designing the airport's first terminal. The building was completed in 1939. [1] In the 1990s, it was decided to move the terminal building to make way for a planned expansion of the airport.
