The whole “from you 2000 years ago” is Ymir showing Eren her story and why she’s doing what she is doing. Eren and Ymir helped/supported/used each other. Eren had the will but lacked the power to escape his chains. Ymir had the power but lacked the will to disobey and escape her chains.
What is your basis for assuming that the zanpakuto came into existence 2000 years ago? Ouetsu could have created them before that period.
