CR-V and RAV4 are best options. CR-V is newer, which means it's much nicer inside and smoother, but it also means Honda hasn't had as much time as Toyota to find bugs and fix them. The RAV4 isn't as nice but, being several years old, is about as reliable as you're going to find in this category. Outlander PHEV.

The Q5 competes with the X3 and the Macan, a class below. Lexus 350H/450H got better with their new interiors but they're still behind the Germans. The X5 hybrid with the air suspension is the smoothest SUV I've been in other than the RRs, but don't take my word for it, try it.

Something that fits 4 or 5 ppl comfortably. I have a roughly 22 mile commute to work and back and I live in cold and snowy weather for half of the year.
Currently, I’m looking at Kia Sportage hybrid, Hyundai tucson hybrid, Honda crv hybrid and toyota rav4 hybrid. I saw corolla cross hybrid coming out. Are there other options? My budget is 40k otd. Must haves: hybrid, suv, awd, heated front seats, wireless charging & apple carplay, smooth drive preferably turbo and of course durability.
When buying in September 2023, I compared the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson and Toyota RAV4…all hybrids. In the end I went with the Rav, in large part due to Toyota’s reputation and personal experience. I know of a Tacoma that went over 400k… it still ran great but the guy wanted something new.
If you can afford a modified charging station at your house garage I would say go Model 3, Plaid, or Mustang Mach E. Otherwise no. Audi Q4 E-tron for an luxury SUV EV. There is the Volvo XC40 recharge as well that give you an SUV size. arguably better for the environment. This isn't an opinion but a fact.
