Cold Springs is a ghost town in Kiowa County, Oklahoma. The town was 5 miles (8.0 km) south of Roosevelt . [ 1 ] It is now in the Great Plains State Park , in the Mountain Park Wildlife Management Area Site 2.
The Riverview post office was established on March 21, 1895, with John Wilbur as postmaster. The town (and post office) name was changed to Calvin in June 1895, to honor the Choctaw landowner, Calvin Perry. The Choctaw Nation Town Site Commission surveyed Calvin's site and divided it into 350 lots, which were put up for sale. [5]
Chattanooga is a town in Comanche and Tillman counties in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. It is located on Oklahoma State Highway 36 about 23.7 driving miles southwest of Lawton. [4] The population was 400 at the 2020 census. The Comanche County portion of Chattanooga is included in the Lawton, Oklahoma Metropolitan Statistical Area.
