Demon Slayer season three is finally here! After more than a year of waiting, fans of Tanjiro can rest easy knowing their favourite boy is back to fight demons and sincerely express his emotions.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is set in a world during Japan's Taishō era, where humanity secretly lives and fights against the threat of demons: transformed humans who possess supernatural abilities such as enhanced strength, rapid regeneration, and unique powers referred to as "Blood Demon Arts".
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (鬼滅の刃, Kimetsu no Yaiba, rgh. "Blade of Demon Destruction") [4] is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. It was serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, with its chapters collected in 23 tankōbon volumes.
It follows teenage Tanjiro Kamado, who strives to become a Demon Slayer after his family was slaughtered and his younger sister, Nezuko, is turned into a demon. The series' first season premiered in April 2019, having aired on Tokyo MX and other networks, while from the second season onwards it has aired on Fuji TV .
The fourth season, titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hashira Training Arc, [a] adapts from the 15th and 16th volumes (chapters 128–139) of the manga. It premiered on May 12, 2024, with a one-hour episode. [2] [3] The season ended with a one-hour special, which aired on June 30 of the same year. [4]
