The New England Sports Center is a two-story, eight-rink ice-skating facility located in Marlborough, Massachusetts.Covering 22.3 acres (90,000 m 2) of suburban land, the 220,000-square-foot (20,000 m 2) building [1] has over 65 locker rooms, a hockey pro shop, ice skate sharpening, ice skate rentals, function rooms, a full-service restaurant, and a snack bar.
The building was built in 1970 for student recreation and as the home first of a club hockey team known as the "Clippers" from 1970–1980 and later for the varsity Kent State Golden Flashes men's ice hockey team, which played there from 1980 through the 1993–94 season when the university eliminated NCAA ice hockey due to budget concerns. Bronx Skate Park (commonly known as Allerton Skate Park) is a 6,000 sq ft (560 m 2) skate park inside Bronx Park, a little north of Allerton Avenue, in The Bronx, New York City. The park includes a smooth skating surface, as well as being equipped with a quarter pipe , bank ramps with ledges, skate pyramid, and grind rails .
Inline skating rinks are between 125 and 400 metres, though banked tracks can only be 250 metres long. Inline skating can also be held on closed road courses between 400 and 1,000 metres, as well as open-road competitions where starting and finishing lines do not coincide.
