Stonewall, also known as Lewis House and Little Falls Plantation, is a historic plantation house located near Rocky Mount, Nash County, North Carolina. It was built about 1830, and is a two-story, five-bay, Federal style brick dwelling. It sits on a raised basement and has a high hipped roof.
William G. Lewis was born September 3, 1835, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He was the son of Dr. John Wesley Lewis and Catherine Ann Battle. [1] His first cousin Anna Lewis married Captain Luther Rice Mills, who later became a college Professor at Wake Forest University. [2] He was educated at Lovejoy's Academy in Raleigh.
