The buildings were listed as a pair on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993 for their architecture and their role in the town's educational system.
The Ethel Walker School was originally located in Lakewood, New Jersey, before being moved in 1917 to its present location on the former Dodge Estate in Simsbury, Connecticut.
