Since its incorporation in 1956, the Village of Schaumburg has grown from a population of 130 to what is now the 12th largest community in Illinois. The population increase in the Village from the mid-1960s to 1990 was one of the fastest in the country.
The new OpenGov portal will eventually be a one-stop shop for permitting needs, however, the village is taking a phased approach, and permit application types will migrate to the new portal over the next year. Currently Residential Permits are live on the OpenGov Portal.
