This is a list of the NCAA Division I outdoor champions in the long jump. Measurement of the jumps was conducted in imperial distances (feet and inches) until 1975. Metrication occurred in 1976, so all subsequent championships were measured in metric distances. The women's event began in 1982.

Matthew Boling. Matthew Boling (born June 20, 2000) is an American track and field athlete specializing in the sprints and long jump. He won four gold medals at the 2019 Pan American U20 Championships in the 100 m, 200 m, 4 × 100 m relay and 4 × 400 m relay, and helped set world under-20 records in both of the relay races for the United States.
Katelyn Tuohy. Katelyn Tuohy (born March 18, 2002) is an American professional middle- and long-distance runner. She is a four-time individual NCAA Division I champion. In high school Tuohy won five Gatorade Player of the Year awards and was the 2018 Track & Field News High School Girls Athlete of the Year.
In February 2024, she finished third at the 2024 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships with a 6.73m distance in the long jump. [9] She was subsequently selected for the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow [ 10 ] [ 11 ] where she won a silver medal in the long jump event with a distance of 6.85m. [ 12 ]
Goodwin was a two-time NCAA champion in the long jump (2010, 2012) and a four-time All-American in track and field. He won five Big 12 Conference championships and made the All-Big 12 team seven times. He is the Longhorns' indoor record holder in the long jump and was the runner-up for the 2012 NCAA Indoor long jump title.
