Haverhill completed the reconstruction of the Hunking middle school in the Bradford part of the city. Haverhill is also home to the historic Walnut Square School, first built in 1898 at a cost of $30,000 (~$938,133 in 2023). The school's tower clock was created by Mr. Edward Howard, a famous clock maker of the 1890s, at a cost of $1,300. [67]

Rocks Village, located in far eastern Haverhill, developed beginning in 1640 as a ferry crossing point on the river joining Haverhill to West Newbury, and as a local nexus for local farmers. The first bridge at this site was built in 1795, and the present Rock's Bridge, a multi-truss steel structure, dates to 1905.
