The Ferguson-Florissant School District (FFSD) is a public school district located in Greater St. Louis and in Missouri. Its headquarters are in Hazelwood . [ 3 ] The district covers all or part of 11 municipalities, serving more than 11,000 students from preschool through 12th grade.
The school opened in January 2004, replacing Berkeley High School in Berkeley, which had closed in December 2003 due to expansion of the Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. [ 2 ] When it was a zoned school, MSB educated students from the cities of Cool Valley , Ferguson , Kinloch and Berkeley .

In 1962, when Ferguson High School closed, its students moved to McCluer; now McCluer Senior High School. McCluer's mascot is the Comets.

The building was originally constructed as an addition to the original 1897 Public School No. 57, which was demolished in 1960. [2] The school has been redeveloped as a multi-use facility including apartments, offices, and a community center. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. [1]
