The BWF World Ranking is the official ranking of the Badminton World Federation for badminton players who participate in tournaments sanctioned by Badminton World Federation. It is used to determine the qualification for the World Championships and Summer Olympic Games , [ 1 ] as well as BWF World Tour tournaments. [ 2 ]
Below is listed the Badminton World Federation's World Championships medalists in the men's and women's singles, also in the men's, women's and mixed doubles events. The champion(s) of the tournament win a gold medal, the runners-up take the silver medal, and both losing semifinalists are awarded bronze medals.

One other category of the tournament, the BWF Tour Super 100 (level 6), also offers BWF World Tour ranking points. It still acts as an important part of the pathway and entry point for players into the BWF Tour tournaments. BWF announced that there will be 10 tournaments for the BWF Tour Super 100 in 2024. [2]
The others – Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, Super 300, Super 100, International Challenge, International Series, and Future Series are all individual tournaments. The higher the level of tournament, the larger the prize money and the more ranking points available. The 2024 BWF season calendar comprises these six levels of BWF tournaments.
The BWF World Tour is a Grade 2 badminton tournament series, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It is a competition open to the top world ranked players in singles (men's and women's) and doubles (men's, women's and mixed). [ 1 ]

The 2024 BWF World Tour Finals (officially known as the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals 2024 for sponsorship reasons) is the final tournament of the 2024 BWF World Tour. It will be held from 11 to 15 December 2024 in Hangzhou , China and features a total prize pool of $2,500,000.
