SVG help. Scalable Vector Graphics is a commonly used file format for providing a geometrical description of an image using basic objects such as labels, circles, lines, curves and polygons. An image can be reduced or enlarged to an arbitrary size, and will not suffer image data loss, nor will it become pixelated.

Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) is an XML -based vector image format for defining two-dimensional graphics, having support for interactivity and animation. The SVG specification is an open standard developed by the World Wide Web Consortium since 1999. SVG images are defined in a vector graphics format and stored in XML text files.
This image needs to be converted to the SVG format. Once that is done, it should be moved to Wikimedia Commons in accordance with Wikipedia's image policy. Once the image is improved, see moving files to Commons for information on how to proceed. If you can not convert to SVG, go ahead and move to the Commons anyway. See Move-to-commons assistant.
There are 4 basic choices for image file formats : SVG for simple diagrams (especially those that need to be scaled). JPEG for photographic images. GIF for animated images. PNG for everything else. While some formats offer multiple compression systems, in general the format and the compression system are tied together.
However, on more complex templates, the template may invoke a module, transclude other templates, only work if paired with a separate template, or need particular CSS or JavaScript code to work. Use the SVG format whenever possible. If you can't, use any software to create the plot in a bitmap format but make it very large, for instance 6000×4500 pixel size with Postscript Times or Symbol font size 48 and a line thickness of 17 pixels. Then use software like Photoshop or GIMP to Gaussian blur it at 2 pixels.
