Jennette narrates it herself, which is amazing and gives the narrative voice even more depth and authenticity. But for me it also made it a little more difficult to get through. I grew up watching her on TV and hearing her story in her own voice was really powerful and heartbreaking. I had to take several breaks. Incredibly worth it though

It's really fucked up that Jennette's mother outed her as having a crush on him and that Dan wrote that in there. Jenette's treatment by both her mother and Nickelodeon was an absolute disgrace and there is no excuse for that.

Currently reading Jennette McCurdy's memoir "I'm Glad My Mom Died". I was expecting it to be interesting - I'm blown away. There's been a lot of hype for this book, so I was expecting a more-so-than-normal interesting celebrity memoir, but what I'm reading goes so far and beyond what I expected.

Oh damn I'm sorry you had that experience. I've known for a long time my mom was narcissistic and I went through a lot of the same things Jennette did as a kid. I got the book about 2 weeks ago now and I haven't been able to get past the first 40ish pages. Its wayyyy too triggering for me.
