Seton Hall Law is the only private law school in New Jersey. The school confers three law degrees: Juris Doctor, Master of Laws, and Master of General Legal Studies. Founded in 1951, it is accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA), and is also a member of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS).
Seton Hall Law was founded by a woman, Miriam T. Rooney, who served as dean from 1951 to 1961. Kathleen M. Boozang (born April 21, 1959) is the former dean and professor of law at Seton Hall University School of Law. Boozang joined Seton Hall in 1990 after practicing law for several years. In July 2015, she became the eighth dean of Seton Hall Law. [1]
