The Long Island City station is a rail terminal of the Long Island Rail Road in the Hunters Point and Long Island City neighborhoods of Queens, New York City.Located within the City Terminal Zone at Borden Avenue and Second Street, it is the westernmost LIRR station in Queens and the end of both the Main Line and Montauk Branch.

The Long Island City station is near the Vernon Boulevard–Jackson Avenue subway station, also served by the 7 and <7> trains, and the Long Island City station also connects to the NYC Ferry's East River Ferry to Midtown or Lower Manhattan. In addition, the Jamaica station is a major hub station and transfer point in Jamaica, Queens.
Roslyn station opened on January 23, 1865 by the Glen Cove Branch Rail Road – a subsidiary of the Long Island Rail Road, upon the completion of the line between Mineola and Glen Head. [3] [4] The land for the railroad station was donated by Samuel Adams Warner – a prominent architect and Roslyn resident for whom Warner Avenue is named. [5]
