Cloverdale is an unincorporated community in Wood County, Ohio, United States [3] and is part of Portage Township and located at the intersection of Cloverdale and Kramer roads. History [ edit ]
Cloverdale was originally called Evansville, and under the latter name was platted in 1877 when the railroad was extended to that point. [5] The present name most likely is derived from the Clover Leaf Railroad, which passed through a nearby junction. [6] The village was incorporated as Cloverdale in 1902. [7]
