The Kawasaki MULE (Multi-Use Light Equipment) is a series of lightweight Utility Task Vehicle that have been built by Kawasaki since 1988. Initially available with a 454 cc (27.70 cu in) twin-cylinder engine in the original MULE 1000 model, the range has grown and been gradually updated over the years, and now includes both petrol and diesel variants.

The Kawasaki W1 650 cc (actually 624 cc) four-stroke twin was developed from the Meguro K series, which Meguro had developed from a BSA A7 under license. Kawasaki developed the lighter Kawasaki A1 Samurai during 1966. It was quickly followed by the larger bore model, the A7 Avenger, which is similar to the Samurai.
The Bajaj Kawasaki Caliber was a motorcycle developed and sold by Kawasaki and Bajaj in India from 1998 to 2006. [citation needed] It was made by incorporating some improvements in the Bajaj 4S. One of the changes was the addition of an oil filter. The Caliber had a 124.6-cubic-centimetre (7.60 cu in) engine.
The Vulcan 500 (EN500A) introduced in 1990 was the successor to the Kawasaki 454 LTD. The EN500A was fitted with a parallel twin 498 cc engine nearly identical to the Kawasaki Ninja 500R. It had a 6-speed transmission and belt final drive. The EN500A was discontinued after 1996 and replaced with the Vulcan 500 LTD (EN500C).
