Alpine is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP) located in and governed by Rio Grande County, Colorado, United States. The population of the Alpine CDP was 169 at the United States Census 2020. [3] The South Fork post office (Zip Code 81154) serves the area. [4]

In the 2016–17 school year, Alpine had the 33rd smallest enrollment of any school district in the state, with 160 students. [ 5 ] The district had been classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings.
Opened to its first students in August 1996, it became part of the Alpine School District [2] of Utah County. The school mascot is the Timberwolf and the official school colors are blue, green, grey, and white. [3] In 2010, Timpanogos High School began a radio station, at KTWF 88.9 FM, and continues to operate today.
