The John D. Dingell Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act of 2019 is an omnibus lands act that protected public lands and modified management provisions. The bill designated more than 1,300,000 acres (5,300 km 2) of wilderness area, expanded several national parks and other areas of the National Park System, and established four new national monuments while redesignating others.

The Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 (BC Act) is a state-based act of parliament in New South Wales (NSW). [1] Its long title is An Act relating to the conservation of biodiversity; and to repeal the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995, the Nature Conservation Trust Act 2001 and the animal and plant provisions of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974. [2]
Its successor, the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016, lists many more purposes under the rubric of "ecologically sustainable development" while hoping for "biodiversity conservation in the context of a changing climate". It retains the framework of a Scientific Committee for determining endangered species and communities.
