Art Ryerson began playing the banjo in Columbus, Ohio before switching to guitar. In the early 1930s he joined the Rhythm Jesters at radio station WLW in Cincinnati. He moved to New York City and worked in jazz clubs, including Nick's Tavern in Greenwich Village. He played banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and seven-string guitar.

Vaughn Wiester (born July 11, 1945) is an American jazz musician and educator. He leads his own big band, the 22-piece Famous Jazz Orchestra. The FJO plays every Monday night at the Woman's Club near the Park of Roses in the Clintonville neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. [1]
