Comic Fiesta is usually held in December at various locations, including Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre at KLCC. It is an event held with the motto of "event by fans for fans", and is also currently the first and the biggest ACG convention in Malaysia, organised to bring the comic convention experience to the Malaysian audience.

MIHAS was first held in 2004 at the Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC), Mines Resort City, Kuala Lumpur. The inaugural event was officiated by the (now former) Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi. [2]
After that, the venue for the event was changed to Changkat Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur in 1988. [4] In 1991, the exhibition was relocated to the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur and was renamed "Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair" in order to accommodate the role international publishers played in supplying books for the event.
