Pointe aux Barques (/ p ɔɪ n t ə b ɑːr k s / point-ə-BARKS) Lighthouse and Maritime Museum is an active lighthouse and adjoining museum located in Huron County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located along the shores of Lake Huron on the northeastern tip of the Thumb.
Built in 1885, this lighthouse is situated near the mouth of the Detroit River about three miles (4.8 km) off the coast of Pointe Mouillee State Game Area in Lake Erie in the northern portion of the county. The lighthouse is still in operation today, albeit completely automated, and public access is prohibited.
