Students who wish to complete a minor are to contact the department offering the academic minor as early as possible in the program and fill out the appropriate agreement form. A minor consists of 24 to 30 units.
Check prerequisites. Upper-division courses designed for Biological Sciences majors usually require some combination of BIO 150, BIO 161, BIO 162 and BIO 263 as prerequisites. Suggested combinations of courses in particular areas of biology are available in the department.
