The leads I called had already been called by three other people they never needed the actual work I do. And to top it off I had a lead tell me they didn’t even know how Angi, angieslist, or home advisor was and they had gone to a website called “Powell and sons” that looked liked a local contractor, but was just farming leads for angi.
The leads themselves are decent, usually well qualified and you can choose which kind of jobs you are interested in down to specific criteria. If you get a bum lead here and there customer support will refund them within reason. The downside is that the leads are often sent to multiple contractors. So some of these may lead you into a bidding war.
The bad reviews you will read online are 1 of 2 or both of these. Unfortunately I got both a lot of the leads dont seem like they are real (you still get charged anyways) you get charged multiple times Long story short, dont use angi leads. Those bad reviews are real..it happened to me.
I cancelled Angi after about 6 months. The service is terrible. The leads are expensive, and they're junk. Out of every 10 leads, maybe 1 would actually be looking for a home inspection. I had leads tell me they needed engineers or contractors. I had leads tell me they don't need a home inspection and never submitted a request.
That exact same thing happened to me. I tried contacting a supposed tree service in my area only to discover that it was a fake site. Then I started getting calls from Angi about other companies and services (different from what I was even looking for), text messages, emails. Yea, I'm very curious about if contractors actually find much work from ANGI and if it's beneficial at all. I keep hearing people complain about how they pay ANGI but don't get any useful leads. Yet ANGI seems to be doing great financially right now. I'm trying to figure out why, but I don't know how to get into contact with these people lol
You have to be on those leads like shit on velcro and it sucks. 7-the success rate of the leads is garbage. Expect to successfully close on maybe a third of the leads you pay for. I track my angi's statistics hardcore and I can tell you this: a third of the leads I've paid for simply never responded in any way, shape, or form.

I couldnt agree more. Fuck Angie's leads. They harassed me non stop with phone calls for months when i got my contractors license. . They want us to pay them for work leads to abunch of their lame ass customers. I told them I'm completely competent and can sell my own work, I don't need their bullshit company to try to find work for me.
Which so far have been most of my leads. Angi’s Leads expects me to call them within the first 24 hours, I do my part. I make sure to call every lead as soon as possible. Those leads that fall under, well basically what you’d think would fall under a reasonable reason to request for credit… are the only leads I request credit for.
