Eidfjordvatnet (English: Lake Eidfjord) [1] [2] [3] is a moraine-dammed lake in the municipality of Eidfjord in Vestland county, Norway. The 3.55-square-kilometre (1.37 sq mi) lake is located immediately southeast of the village of Eidfjord. Øvre Eidfjord village lies on the southern shore of the lake.

It is situated at the foot of Vøringsfossen and the ascent to Måbødalen. [1] The nature center was opened on 28 May 1995. It was authorized as a national park center for the Hardangervidda National Park in 1997.
