Quintin castle is one of the very few Anglo-Norman castles still occupied in Ireland. [235] The castle was built in 1184 on the orders of John de Courcy and later occupied by the Savage family, who would add some small additions to the castle. This cycle would continue through the ages all the way to now.

Classiebawn Castle is a country house built for the 3rd Viscount Palmerston (1784–1865) on what was formerly a 4,000-hectare (10,000-acre) estate on the Mullaghmore Peninsula near the village of Cliffoney, County Sligo, Ireland. [1] The current castle was largely built in the late 19th century.
Athenry Castle is a large rectangular building with base-batter, originally containing only a hall on the upper level and storerooms at ground level. The battlements are 13th century with tall arrowslits in the merlons .
Belleek Castle, originally known as Belleek Manor, [1] is a 19th-century manor house in Ballina, County Mayo in Ireland. Now operated as a hotel, the house was built between 1825 and 1831 in a neo-Gothic style. [2] The 10-room hotel has a museum in its basement containing what is reputed to be Grace O'Malley's bed. [3]
