Nathu La [a] (Tibetan: རྣ་ཐོས་ལ་, Wylie: Rna thos la, THL: Na tö la, Sikkimese: རྣ་ཐོས་ལ་) is a mountain pass in the Dongkya Range of the Himalayas between China's Yadong Country in Tibet, and the Indian states of Sikkim.
The mountain pass was initially a component of the Tirad Pass National Park, declared in 1938 through Proclamation No. 294 by then President Manuel Luis Quezon. On August 10, 1954, it was established as the Bessang Pass National Shrine with an area of 304 hectares (750 acres) by virtue of Proclamation No. 55 signed by President Ramon Magsaysay. [2]

Tagudin–Cervantes–Sabangan Road (also known as Mountain Province–Ilocos Sur Road or Bessang Pass), signed as National Route 205 (N205) of the Philippine highway network, is a 98-kilometer (61 mi) national secondary road in the Philippines that connects between the provinces of Ilocos Sur [1] and Mountain Province.
It is the only state university in the province aimed for less-fortunate people and one of three state-owned educational institutions of higher learning operating in Ilocos Sur (with the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College and the Northern Luzon Polytechnic State College, a former branch of the university).
The Northern Luzon Heroes Hill National Park is a national park in the Republic of the Philippines, located in the municipalities of Santa and partly in Narvacan in Ilocos Sur province. [1] The protected area was established on July 9, 1963, by Proclamation No. 132.
