Phoenix Cinema and Arts Centre is a cinema, art gallery and Café Bar in the city centre of Leicester, England.The four-screen, recently refurbished cinema shows everything from micro-budget independent films to the latest Hollywood blockbusters, and often hosts festivals and special events.
The theatre was then taken over again by United Artists and on 27 September 1933 re-opened as a full-time cinema, once more re-named the Leicester Square Theatre, with Jack Buchanan's own film for United Artists That's a Good Girl. Sue Townsend Theatre (formerly the Phoenix Theatre, Phoenix Arts Centre and the Upper Brown Street Theatre) is a theatre in the city of Leicester, England. The centre hosts live shows and films of the arthouse and world cinema genres. Julian Wright is credited for his work to preserve the theatre from demolition in the 1980s and in the 2000s.
The Royal Cinema, originally the Odeon Cinema and later the Empire Cinema, is a cinema in Maney, Sutton Coldfield in West Midlands, England. Built in 1936, it is notable for its Art Deco style.
