The Navy Midshipmen baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, United States. [2] The team is a member of the Patriot League, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association 's Division I. Navy's first baseball team was fielded in 1893.
The stadium is named for Max Bishop, Navy head baseball coach from 1937 to 1961. [1] In his tenure, the team's record was 306–143. [ 2 ] The field is named for two Naval Academy alumni, Ron Terwilliger (class of 1963) and Bruce Terwilliger (class of 1964), both contributors to Navy athletics.
