According to the 2020 United States census, South Carolina is the 23rd-most populous state with 5,118,425 inhabitants, [1] but the 11th-smallest by land area spanning 30,060.70 sq mi (77,856.9 km 2) of land. [2]
Mauldin is located south of the center of Greenville County, between the city of Greenville to the northwest and Simpsonville to the southeast. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 12.13 square miles (31.4 km 2), of which 12.07 square miles (31.3 km 2) is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 km 2) (0.49%) is water.
