Pacific View Mall (formerly known as Buenaventura Center and Buenaventura Plaza) is a regional, enclosed mall located on the West Coast in Ventura, California. It covers a leasable area of almost 1,000,000 sq ft (93,000 m 2). Its current anchors include Macy's, JCPenney, and Target, with one vacant anchor store last occupied by Sears.
Arlen Realty and Development Corporation, a predecessor of CBL & Associates Properties, announced Sarasota Square Mall in 1976.The mall was planned to be anchored by Maas Brothers and JCPenney, the latter of which would relocate from nearby Southgate Shopping Plaza (which was an outdoor strip mall at the time). Also in 1977, JCPenney closed its store and relocated to the newly-built Sarasota Square Mall. Robinson's of Florida, the Florida division of California-based J.W. Robinsons opened in the former JCPenney space in October 1978. [6]
