Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) is the current primary liturgical and worship guidebook and hymnal for use in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC). It was first published in October 2006 by the ELCA's publishing house, Augsburg Fortress (now known as 1517 Media).
The Conference of Bishops, which meets at least twice a year, is formed of 66 bishops (the 65 elected synodical bishops, together with the presiding bishop), plus the ELCA church secretary. It is consulted by the presiding bishop and the Church Council for advice on matters of doctrine, faith and order, and ecumenical relations.

The ELCA Youth Gathering is a national convention of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for high school-aged youth, held every three years in a different city in the United States. The gathering program lasts about five days and combines large mass gatherings, learning activities, and local service opportunities.
