Sharon Township is one of the twenty townships of Johnson County, Iowa, United States. It is located on the southern county line, about 6 miles (9.7 km) southwest of Iowa City (at Township 78 North, Range 7 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian). It is adjacent to Washington, Union and Liberty Townships, as well as Washington County.
Sharon Township covers an area of 24.0 square miles (62.2 km 2) and contains no incorporated settlements. According to the USGS, it contains five cemeteries: Brannon, Mount Ararat, Perjue, Sharon and Sharon.

Sharon Weston Broome (born October 1, 1956) is a Louisiana politician who served as mayor-president of Baton Rouge, Louisiana between 2017 and 2025. She was elected mayor-president in a runoff election held on December 10, 2016. [1] [2] Broome is the first African-American woman to serve as mayor-president. [3]

They include the church itself (1885), the manse (1918), the sexton's house (1899), and the toilet rooms and lavatory (c. 1902). The buildings are all of frame construction. The cemetery itself is the contributing site.
