Stoneridge Shopping Center is an upscale major shopping mall in Pleasanton, California. The mall is managed and co-owned by Simon Property Group , and is adjacent to Interstate 680 . The mall features JCPenney and Macy's and Macy's Women's Store .
In retail operations, Pleasanton has one major regional mall (Stoneridge Shopping Center) and a number of other shopping centers. In addition to the business parks and retail centers, Pleasanton is known for its downtown, which is home to a number of fine-dining, casual, and ethnic restaurants, specialty retailers, and service businesses.
Other early businesses included Walgreens, Butler Brothers Department Stores, Gallenkamp Shoes, the Red Chimney restaurant and Woolworth's. There were stores for local residents, including a grocery store, a bakery, and movie theaters. Stoneson Brothers also developed the Stoneridge Shopping Center in Pleasanton and Lakeside Village.

The Market Place covers an area of 165 acres (670,000 m 2) [3] and has more than 120 stores, restaurants, cafes and theaters. Designed by Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta, it consists of monumental but extremely simplified cubic forms, with anchor stores marked by massive towers roughly 70 feet (21 m) high displaying the store name.

Burlington also moved to Pacific Commons Shopping Center in 2020. In July 2021, The Newark City Council and Brookfield Properties approved plans for a 319-unit apartment complex on the Mall's property along with a new 162,000 square-feet Costco on the southeast side of the Mall at the former JCPenney and Burlington Coat Factory site.
