WWUS covers the lower and middle Keys, and reaches the coast of Cuba near Havana.
The station was owned by Stephen Marks' Chincoteague Broadcasting Corporation from 1998, when he purchased it from Eastern Shore Broadcasting for $350,000, [4] until his death on May 11, 2022. [5] In April 2023, his widow Mary Marks sold WOWZ-FM to GSB Broadcasting, which had been programming it since October 2017, for $100,000.
