MS Jubilee (also known as Pacific Sun and Henna) was a cruise ship that was originally built for Carnival Cruise Line. She was the second of three ships to be built for Carnival's Holiday class. She was last owned by the Chinese company HNA Cruise Company, Limited, for service in the West Pacific region. The ship was retired and scrapped in 2017.
The terminal briefly saw use for cruises following Hurricane Ike when ships like Carnival Cruise Lines Ecstasy and Conquest were re-routed from the damaged Port of Galveston to Bayport for nearly two months. Bayport Cruise Terminal was a planned port of call for both Princess Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line in 2013-2014. [4]
Just across from the new terminal, a seven-story parking garage was built that has 6,219 spaces, including 85 handicapped accessible spots and 52 electric vehicle charging stations.
