Somehow I found a solution (idk if it was a chrome extension or actual app) that I had downloaded on my Windows 11 PC last month. Just had to reinstall Windows and now I can't find anything online. The icon was just YouTubeTV logo, and it would open a dedicated window with a high resolution YouTube TV feed.
Chromium-based browsers (like Chrome or the rebuilt Edge) have a command-line option to open a particular web page in "app mode", giving you the look/feel of an app without the distraction of an address bar, toolbars/bookmarks, etc.
There is no official YouTube TV native apps on Windows 10 at the moment. However, I got your point. Thus, I watch YTTV on my Mac computer and would like to do so in a small window that floats above other windows. I found Hellium which looks like it works for Netflix, youtube.com, etc., but because YTTV requires Chrome or Firefox, Hellium does not work.
I've found that using AHK (AutoHotKeys) app I would be able to map keyboard shortcut combinations to use with Harmony Remote while opening each web app (e.g. Youtube TV) from Kodi, using Chrome Launcher. It will be great to know if anyone here can share the experience using this kind of setup. AutoHotKey app is based on scripting.
Good for Macs also. I always used Chrome browser to access YTTV on my Apple laptop (doesn't work in Safari), and a note appeared just below the YTTV main menu indicating an "app" was now available for downloading to watch YTTV directly. I downloaded it, and it works just like any other Mac app, and the icon can be kept on your screen or in your ...
