  2. Amsterdam: Some of the friendliest people in all of Europe (the Irish are friendlier) and very civil. University feeling with progressive views and outlooks while also adhering to old world traditions and generations. Accessible by foot and bike, a car is almost impractical. 4th Place: Majorca, Spain.

London: Ditto, and also the great theater shows. Rome: I was in awe of the history there. Also great food. Rotterdam: I love all the Dutch cities I've been to, but Rotterdam is pretty unique in Europe thanks to its modern architecture. Also easy to reach the other big Dutch cities by train.

We've decided we definitely want to visit Budapest, Prague, and Barcelona. Now we are just trying to narrow down other cities while we do some research! We've decided we'll probably spend somewhere between 4-6 weeks in Europe in July/August (hopefully if things are better), or if not, the following summer. Thank you again for your help everyone!

I've been to every country in Europe. Here are my favorite cities (in no particular order): Barcelona, London, Paris, Prague, Budapest, Rome, Florence, Istanbul, Moscow. For your trip, you could split your time between Paris and London and do some day trips. If you wanted to add in another country, you could do London for 5ish days, Paris for ...

From my experience, my top 5: Prague - Beautiful, restored, inexpensive, great beer. London - looter of the Earth. Museums, art, football. Bruges - Like smaller Prague, prettier location. Der Haag - I loved the beach, and the "vibe" of the city. Western Austria - Just so freaking beautiful.

Paris, London, Madrid, Amsterdam and St. Petersburg seem to fit your bill the best. For tier 2 cities, you can add Edinburgh, Bilbao, Hamburg, Lisbon (sorry, Lisbon), Tel-Aviv. You've mentioned large cities only, but doing a region properly can be just as rewarding in my opinion. There's a lot more to Tuscany, Umbria and Emilia-Romagna than ...

Berlin, Gdansk, Dublin, Stockholm, and Istanbul have been some of my favorite cities. All great food, culture, history, lots to do. Dublin is kind of an exception in that I don't think the tourist sites are particularly noteworthy, but the pub culture is amazing, especially for a solo traveler. Reply. Share.

The most known/big ones would be London, Berlin (maybe Munich as well) and Amsterdam. The growing ones would be Paris, Barcelona, Lisbon, Talinn and Copenhagen (I'd say these would be by order) I'd also throw Dublin between the known ones and the growing ones. 18.

Berlin has great nightlife overall and a 24hr party culture. But for afrobeats, hiphop, dancehall in particular I would 100% say London. Berlin is great for techno but London’s music scene has a much bigger afrocarribean influence. Go in august for Notting Hill carnival and there will be sound systems playing dancehall and afrobeats as well ...

Some of the best byzantine, come off the best gothic, romanesque, baroque, etc. Layout is unique That said, it's not a city for a formulaic trip, public transportation is legendarily bad, even southern Italian cities do it better nowadays, and that is really bad - for the rest, it's not a sterilised city - both sterilised with a positive ...
